How do I cancel my membership?
On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Marginalia. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends and you won't be charged again. You keep membership until the end of the period you paid for.
I paid, but the app still shows Free.
Open Marginalia, go to Settings and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you paid with.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all payments, so refunds go through Apple: visit reportaproblem.apple.com and choose the purchase.
Will my answers move to a new iPhone?
Your answers and notes live only on your phone. They move with an iCloud backup or a direct transfer when you set up the new iPhone. If you delete the app without a backup, they are gone.
The reminders don't arrive.
Check Settings › Notifications › Marginalia on your iPhone, then turn the reminder off and on again in the app's settings. Focus modes can also hold notifications back.
How do I answer from the widget or with Siri?
Add the Marginalia widget in its medium or large size and tap an answer right on the Home Screen. With Siri, say “Answer today's question in Marginalia”.
Where do the philosophers' numbers come from?
From the 2020 PhilPapers Survey of professional philosophers, using the share who accept or lean towards each answer. Questions the survey didn't ask show no numbers.
